How pricing is scoped

Pricing depends on scope, complexity, risk, and support expectations.

Simple, low-risk automations are priced near the entry point. Multi-system, sensitive, business-critical, or AI-enabled workflows are scoped as larger systems. Quotes account for the number of workflows involved, tools being connected, data sensitivity, custom code, testing, documentation, and post-launch support needs.

FAQs

What should we start with?

If you are unsure what to automate first, start with an Automation Audit. If the workflow is already clear and bounded, an Automation Sprint may be the better first step.

Why not price everything hourly?

Most work is priced around scope, complexity, risk, business value, testing needs, documentation, and support expectations. That keeps the engagement focused on useful outputs instead of open-ended hours.

Can you work with sensitive data?

Potentially, but the workflow, tools, access model, and data sensitivity need to be reviewed up front. Sensitive or regulated work may require stricter controls, client-approved environments, or paid discovery.

Who pays for software, hosting, or AI usage?

Client-specific software subscriptions, hosting, and usage-based costs are usually client-owned or billed as explicit pass-through expenses. If included in a fixed fee, usage caps should be defined.

Do support plans include unlimited development?

No. Support plans cover named workflows and defined levels of maintenance, fixes, monitoring, or improvement capacity. Larger new builds are scoped separately.
